Ajax Training: Introduction to Ajax Development

Ajax Training: Introduction to Ajax Development
Duration: 4 days

Course Synopsis: Ajax (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) has emerged as a powerful platform for building web applications with extensive client-side interactivity. Unlike older approaches, which require reloading of the entire page with every postback, Ajax uses the JavaScript DOM, the XMLHttpRequest object, XML, and CSS to download and display just the content that needs to change.

Who Should Attend: Web developers or designers seeking fundamental skills for Ajax programming and application design techniques necessary to build rich, ultra-responsive web applications.

Prerequisites: All attendees should be fluent in HTML and CSS, and have extensive experience with JavaScript. Prior experience with XSL is not presumed. While we will make every reasonable effort to help, students with insufficient skills may be required to observe the class lessons or do their best to keep up without slowing down the rest of the class.

What You Will Learn:
• Overview of Ajax
• Ajax Frameworks
• XML and Ajax
• OO JavaScript and Refactoring Ajax
• JavaScript Object Notation (JSON)
• XSLT Transformations
• Drag and Drop Basics
• XSLT Templates, Parameters and Variables

Time: Class time is 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Breaks are scheduled throughout the day and lunch is typically scheduled 12-1. Students provide their own lunch.

Locations: We have company-operated facilities in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, San Diego and Washington DC. We also work with a network of rental facilities to offer our classes regularly across the United States and in Canada. Please double-check the location of your class with our office to make sure you get to the right location.
