Course Synopsis: Flex 2: Building Dashboard Applications provides developers with the knowledge needed to use Flex 2 charts to create highly interactive dashboards
for data visualization. By the end of the course, developers will be able to create interactive dashboards by leveraging the Flex 2 framework and the Flex 2 charting components. They will learn about using, formatting and styling Flex 2 charts as well as creating interactive charts and dynamically controlling chart data. Developers will also have the opportunity to discuss conceptual topics for dashboard creation and usability.
Who Should Attend: You should take this course if you are a Flex programmer who needs to provide data visualization in your Flex applications.
Prerequisites: This course is designed for application developers who want to connect their Flex font ends to dynamic data. To gain the most from this class, you should:
• Have attended the Flex 2- Developing Rich Client Applications course.
• Have equivalent knowledge of the topics covered in Flex 2- Developing RCA course.
What You Will Learn:
• Introducing Flex 2 charts
• Column and Bar charts in Flex
• Plot and Pie charts in Flex
• Formatting chart types
• Mixing chart series types
• Dynamically controlling chart series
• Using animation with chart series
• Applying CSS to Chart Components
Time: Class time is 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Breaks are scheduled throughout the day and lunch is typically scheduled 12-1. Students provide their own lunch.
Locations: We have company-operated facilities in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, San Diego and Washington DC. We also work with a network of rental facilities to offer our classes regularly across the United States and in Canada.
