Designing and Developing OO Applications with CFCs
with ColdFusion Expert Hal Helms

Designing and Developing OO Applications with CFCs with ColdFusion Expert Hal Helms
Duration: 5 days
Hal Helms Cold Fusion Expert

Course Synopsis: ColdFusion components (CFCs) represent Adobe’s vision for writing object oriented applications with ColdFusion. In this 5-day, class, you’ll learn what object
orientation is and how to use CFCs to create and implement true OO designs.

Who Should Attend: The class is taught by Published Author and well known ColdFusion expert, Hal Helms and provides ample time for individual mentoring and training. The final unit, each student works as part of a small team to arrive at an OO design for the application. Once the design is approved, the student teams write the code to implement the application. During this practicum, Hal acts as mentor, checking on the progress of the teams, offering suggestions, and asking questions. Students tell us that this is the most valuable aspect of the class, bringing together all that they’ve learned into a coherent whole.

Prerequisites: Because of the advanced level of material covered in this class, we do require students to attend the Fast Track to ColdFusion MX7 class or have the equivalent knowledge. While we will make every reasonable effort to help, students with insufficient skills may be required to observe the class lessons or do their best to keep up without slowing down the rest of the class.

What You Will Learn:
• Polymorphism
• Typing and ColdFusion
• Inheritance
• Stateful objects
• Composition/aggregation/delegation
• Private objects
• ColdFusion Application Design
• Object-relational mappings

Time: Class time is 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Breaks are scheduled throughout the day and lunch is typically scheduled 12-1. Students provide their own lunch.

Locations: We have company-operated facilities in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, San Diego and Washington DC. We also work with a network of rental facilities to offer our classes regularly across the United States and in Canada. Please double-check the location of your class with our office to make sure you get to the right location.

Related Courses: We recommend the following courses that relate to this class: Adobe Flash 8 Professional, Dreamweaver 8 Web Site Development, Dreamweaver 8 ColdFusion Application Development and Fast Track to ColdFusion MX7. Please take a look at our other course outlines.

Goals: Sterling Ledet and Associates realizes the importance of education and we take pride in being able to offer you classes that are more custom fit to your needs. Call us at (770) 414-5007 if you have any special questions or e-mail us at sales@ledet.com.
