These high quality Flash templates can’t be beat for ROI. They are completely free but look like something you’ve spent thousands on.

Free Flash, Flex and After Effects Training Tutorials

These free Flash, Flex and After Effects Training Tutorials are fairly advanced. They are in H.264 format and several are on the Flash 10 Beta player. The site is maintained by Lee Brimelow, Platform Evangelist at Adobe focusing on the Flash, Flex, and AIR developer communities.

Using Captivate to Create Printed Training Materials

While most people who know a little about Adobe Captivate think of it as a screen recorder for creating Flash movies, I’ve often wondered why it’s not promoted more for documentation. This Captivate article on Adobe’s Developer Connection Website explains how to use the product for step-by-step printed documentation. Of course, it’s a little dated in that it refers to Captivate 2.

jQuery API extension for Dreamweaver

jQuery is a library of Javascript effects and functions for use on websites. It is much easier to program Ajax interactions using jQuery instead of straight JavaScript. There are tons of widgets like Accordion controls, Date Pickers, Table Sorters, and more. It’s very lightweight. There’s a Dreamweaver Extension for the jQuery API that works with Dreamweaver 8 through CS3.

Google Maps API for Flash and Flex Developers

Google has released the Google Maps API for Flash and Flex Developers. This ActionScript API lets you manipulate and add content to maps from within Flash and Flex applications.

While we don’t cover this in our regular Flash and Flex Training, you can of course, have us teach it by special request.

The Perfect 3 Column Liquid Layout

This 3 Column CSS layout is the best I’ve seen so far. I’m definitely going to use it.
